Chile a la Carta

In the summer of 2010, Chile was host for WACS, a worldwide congress for professional chefs. The Achiga Association planned an online contest for the event, named Chile a la Carta: everybody, chefs and no-chefs were invited to send a recipe, but including ingredients from a given list of chilean products.
We were contacted by Pablo Orellana to develop the contest module and build its website, both bilingual. With ActionScript 3.0 over PHP, the contest module receives every recipe and generates an entry to be sent to the website, built over WordPress. Once there, the recipes are published automatically for visitors vote and share them in social nets.
Art Direction and Graphic Design were made by Pablo. We liked the behavior he defined for colors inside the web: was fun to translate his design into code.
